The charts on Admission on Motion - Years of Practice and Definition of Practice and Admission on Motion- Legal Education and Reciprocity Requirements are of particular interest to any attorney wanting to be admitted to the bar of another state without exam.

Several states have already adopted the NextGen Bar Exam to be administered for the first time in July 2026. This may affect reciprocity and admission on motion in all states. Verify the requirements for each state at the appropriate licensing entity in that state.
