The LSU Law Library makes Procertas available to all law students, faculty, and staff. Procertas provides online training modules for essential skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. A separate MS Word training module, Word Brief Trainer, addresses skills frequently encountered in brief writing.
In addition to the training modules, Procertas provides assessment modules that test your ability to perform the essential tasks efficiently. Once you complete the assessment modules, you will receive digital badges indicating that you are a Certified Operator of Basic Office Technology (COBOT).
You will be able to list your certification on your resume, and add badges to your LinkedIn profile (badges shown on the left).
You should already have a Procertas account through LSU Law. Please visit this link to log in. If you do not know/remember your password, please click “Restore your password” on the lower right portion of the screen. When prompted, enter your lsu.edu email address, and click the “Restore password” button. You will then receive an email that will allow you to reset your password. Please follow these steps even if you have never logged in to Procertas in the past!
The Law Library has purchased access for all LSU Law Center students, and you should not be charged for using Procertas. If you are unable to log in using by following the instructions above, please contact Todd Venie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
